Miriam's Bakeshop was born from a lifelong love of baking. Owner and head baker Elisabeth Cohen grew up in Queens, New York, and has been baking professionally for more than 15 years. Every loaf, cake and pastry she makes carries a little of that New York spirit, now shared with the Mercer Island and greater Seattle community.

The bakery is named after Elisabeth's daughter, Noa Miriam, a reminder that everything here is made with the same care you would give your own family. It is a small, independent shop, so each order gets Elisabeth's full attention, from the first fold of dough to the final dusting on top.
